This is an ongoing academic post where I am continuing my research endeavors in theology, continental philosophy and contemporary political culture as convenor of the Group for Religious and Intellectual Traditions. I also teach courses in World Religions (RELI1010), Religious Ethics (THEO3001) and the New Visibility of Religion (RELI3060). 

 

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, September 2008 - September 2010

Over the course of this two year post-doctoral fellowship I published the book, Protestant Metaphysics after Karl Barth and Martin Heidegger, presented four papers at a number of seminars and conferences, published two articles, lead quarterly doctoral student seminars in religion and politics, designed and maintained the Centre for Religion and Political Culture’s website, and taught a number of courses for the Religions and Theology Department, such as RELT31111/61111 The Return of Religion in the West (Autumn 2009), RELT10311 Introduction to the Study of Religion and Theology (Autumn 2009), RELT60141 Religion and Political Life (Autumn 2009), RELT10131 Introduction to Christian Theology (Autumn 2008), and RELT20031 Making Sense of Christ: From Lessing to Harnack (Autumn 2008).

 

Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant, January 2005-June 2008

Alongside my doctoral degree program I supported the research aims of the Centre for Religion and Political Culture in the following ways: 1) edited and compiled the conference proceedings for the centre’s 2005 Network Colloquium, Denial of Religious Authority in Democratic Culture; 2) compiled supplementary reading bibliographies for the centre’s book Religion and Political Thought: Key Readings – Past and Present published with Continuum Press; 3) researched grant proposals; 4) maintained and facilitated the revision of the Centre’s website. I also developed online resources and functioned as a seminar tutor for the following undergraduate courses in the Religions and Theology Department such as, RELT10180 Introduction to the Study of Religions Theology: Social Anthropology Integration (Autumn/Spring 2007, Autumn/Spring 2008), RELT10322 Introduction to the Study of Religions and Theology (Spring 2006), RELT10132 Introduction to Christian Theology (Spring 2006).
