Journal Searching
The John Rylands University Library'swebsite allows you to search journal titles from their vast virtual and hard copy indices either from theirE-Journals pages, or right from thecatalogue. Physical copies of the Journals you'll be interested in viewing as a Religions and Theology student can be foundin the Orangearea of the JRULM. However, increasingly many journals are available through online databases which the University subscribes to. If you are on campus you'll be able to access these directly, if you are off campus however, you may need anAthens username and password.
Sometimes however, you may want to keyword search inside a range of academic journal articles at once. In order to do so you'll need to use a keyword searchable database. You can find a list of the JRULM keyword searchable databases that they hold a subscription for at:http://atoz.ebsco.com/ProviderIndex.asp?id=3634&sid=234314746.
Here's a list of the most relevant online journal searching tools for religions and theology:

Another good resource to keep in mind is Google's scholar search. Athttp://www.scholar.google.com/you can search a broad number of online journal and academic databases at once. Google's online catalogue of books is quite extensive as well. Athttp://www.books.google.com/you can keyword search inside many valuable religions and theology texts for relevant information to your research interest. Some books are available for online viewing, others for previewing online -e.g. viewing the table of contents and limited amounts of material within the book.
