I now live in a sleepy beachtown neighbourhood of Newcastle, Australia. Our flat looks onto the beach, and I often try to walk out to Nobbys beach, the Lighthouse and sometimes take a picture of the farthest point of the harbour break walkway.

To Paris for the finale of the 2010 Tour de France on the 23-25 of July.

For our ten year anniversary this summer (2008) we took a weekend in London to see the British Library, Museum, Harrod's, the V&A, the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, St. Paul's, the Tate Modern and see a show called Avenue Q in the West End.

Just before Christmas, 2007 we got away to Tenerife, one of the Spanish Canary Islands off the north coast of Africa. It was a chance to soak up some much needed sun, and do relatively little else.

This weekend, August 24, 2007, we made a quick trip down to the north of Wales to explore some castles. First we visited Caenarfon before making our way to Conwy.

After a few sessions at this years American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature Conference I started walking down to the Capitol building up through the main mall towards the Washington and Lincoln Memorials. A beautiful day and some great pics. Enjoy!

The following are pics while on a tour of the Alhambra in Granada, Spain this past September, 2006. I just snapped away while walking through. Truly magnificent place.

In September, 2006 I presented a paper at the European Society for Philosophy of Religion conference at the Evangelische Stift in Tuebingen. Tuebingen is the Cambridge of Germany, and on one of the days we were given a walking tour of the city. I had forgotten my digital camera so these were snapped with a disposable I picked up at a corner shop. The first few are of the Evangelische Stift where we stayed, and then on to the old city itself, with the last few of the main church. Sehr schoen!

This was a busy summer, but part of it was a two week stay in Frankfurt, Germany to brush up my German at the Goethe Institute there. Here's just a few pics Barbie and I took while touring the city on our last Saturday there.

For our anniversary in July, 2006 we visited Rome to see the sights and relax. Our last night there, Italy won the World Cup.

For our summer break in August, 2005 we took a road trip up to Scotland. We spent a few days based in Stirling which is situated between Edinburgh and Glasgow before heading up through the Lochs to Cromarty, a little coastal town way the heck up north. Beautiful place.
